Managing Email Notifications

There are several ways that you can manage your email notifications. You can easily subscribe or unsubscribe from notifications for a specific conversation, category, or all notifications from a community.

Often times community members want to keep their email notifications turned on, but subscribe from emails about a specific conversation. In order to do this, simply click the “follow” link on the conversation. Community members can later unfollow the conversation if they wish.

When a category is followed, community members and employees will receive email notifications for each new topic that has been posted and tagged with that category. In order to follow a category, simply navigate to the product page and click the “follow” button. This button behaves as an on/ off switch, so to unfollow, simply click it again to unfollow.

Subscribing and unsubscribing from everything

If you want to receive email notifications for all community activity, simply log into your user profile and navigate to the Email & Notifications page. Then, check the box next to the text “Send me emails at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed” and/ or, “Send me emails at my primary email address about new topics posted on products that I follow,” and click save. You should start to receive emails from Get Satisfaction about topics that you have participated in or followed, or new topics in products that you have followed.

Employees also have the option of subscribing to all new conversations that are posted in a community, as well as every new conversation, reply and comment. These company-specific email notifications are located below the conversation (topic) and category (product) email notification settings. Check off the appropriate box and click “Save” to enable.


RSS Feeds

Community employees can elect to receive an RSS feed of the newest topics as well as all topics that have new activity. The RSS feed is available directly underneath the company notifications section.

Note: RSS feeds are not available for private communities in order to protect the privacy of the content.
