Using SurveyMonkey, you can now embed surveys to collect information, conduct polls, and more.
If you have a SurveyMonkey account, you can now embed surveys created in SurveyMonkey directly into any user-generated content area of the community. This includes your Community Message, conversation descriptions, replies, and more.
After you have created a survey in SurveyMonkey, you are able to access an embed code for surveys that you have created. This HTML snippet can be copied into a new conversation in your Get Satisfaction community.
Go to “Collect Responses” and check the option for “Website Collector”.
Embed will automatically be selected. Be sure to check the box labelled “Support WordPress (use in iFrame)”. Selecting this option is what generates the correct code that can be used in your Get Satisfaction community. If this box is not checked, the code that is generated will not display the survey in your community.
The code for embedding a SurveyMonkey survey will appear in a box titled “Website Code”. Select the portion of the code that starts with “<iframe…” and ends with “…/iframe”>. You can see this portion highlighted in blue above. While you can copy the entire code that is generated, this will include a line about SurveyMonkey below the survey.
If you are creating a conversation from the community homepage and wish to add a survey, click the “</>” button to toggle into HTML mode. You can then paste the iframe code provided by SurveyMonkey.
If you are creating a conversation from Manage Workspace and wish to add a survey, click the “</>” button to toggle into HTML mode. You can then paste the iframe code provided by SurveyMonkey.
Once you have posted your conversation, the survey you created in SurveyMonkey will appear.
